Criteria for granting funding

When deciding on funding, particular emphasis is placed on the commercialisation opportunities of the product or service based on the innovative idea or invention. Essential criteria also include growth and internationalisation opportunities.

When evaluating a new idea or invention, the following aspects are considered:

  • degree of innovativeness
  • value added for the customer
  • degree of completion of the idea
  • availability, i.e. distribution channels of the product or service
  • reproducibility of the product or service
  • time needed to introduce the product or service onto the market
  • market potential and market growth rate
  • competitors' products and similar solutions
  • challenges of access to the market
  • know-how and capabilities of the entrepreneur or entrepreneur team

No specific limits or values have been defined for the aspects considered during the evaluation. Each idea or invention is evaluated as such by paying attention to the above-listed aspects. This gives an overview of the resources and actions needed to achieve the desired end result.
