Applying for protection is worthwhile

Patent, utility model, design right and trademark are industrial property rights through which the owner of an invention can obtain a competitive advantage. Such rights are exclusive rights and they protect inventions, the symbols used as identifying marks of goods and services and e.g. the visual design of a product within the specified geographical area concerned. The most effective protection can be obtained by flexibly combining various forms of protection. An invention can be protected through a patent and/or utility model. A design right protects the appearance of a product or part of it, and a trademark protects a product or service.

The results of your work can also be protected under copyright laws. Copyright laws protect intellectual creative work, such as literary or artistic creations. Copyright grants the creator an exclusive right of control over the exploitation of his or her creation.
